Nigara Forging — Hirosaki, Aomori. Eighth generation.
$3,500VIP Selection Price · USD
The Story
The year is 1803. In the castle town of Hirosaki, a family begins forging for the Tsugaru clan.
Generations of swordsmiths. After the war, the same fire turned to blades for daily life.
Today the eighth generation keeps that fire lit. This sujihiki — long, slender, round-tipped — wears a Kurouchi finish: the upper half left black from the forge, the lower half polished to a mirror, and between them a boundary that moves like a wave.
You are not looking at a style. You are looking at two hundred years of the same hands, passed forward. This is fire that has been carried, unbroken, into your kitchen.
A limited piece. Not in general circulation today.
Comes with its presentation box. No certificate is issued — the blade speaks for itself.
For the one who can hear two hundred years inside a single edge.
Ships from Tokyo within 5 Japanese business days. Cancellation is available before physical carrier handoff.
